Brass, of an intense yellow color, is an alloy of copper and zinc, which has been used since prehistoric times for its ductility and its extraordinary resemblance to gold.
Each one of my pieces is handmade in a small workshop using ancestral techniques mastered throughout generations of Mexican artisans, these techniques require extraordinary manual skills, love, knowledge of noble metals and stones.
Metal is hammered, bent, chiselled to shape jewelry. I like to explain it by saying that for me the brass is the canvas; the color of the stones ... the watercolors; and the anvil, the hammer and the fire ... the brushes.
